TRUSTEE ELECTIONS 2024 - NOTICE OF CONFIRMED CANDIDATES

We are pleased to confirm the Trustee candidates standing in the 2024 Trustee Elections for Te Mana o Ngāti Rangitihi Trust.


Nominated candidates:

  • Cathy Dewes

  • Tiipene Perenara Marr

  • Toma Mason

  • Pouroto Ngaropo

  • Taichi Playle

  • Graham Pryor

  • Lynne Moewai Pryor

  • Tracey Raureti

  • Pretty Ross


Election voting dates - what you need to know:


As the number of valid nominations received exceeds the number of vacancies available, an election is required to determine those Trustees. Seven Trustees are required to be elected. 


  • Voting opens on Wednesday 16 October 2024.

  • Voting closes at 5pm on Monday 18 November 2024.


Electionz.com is running this process, as the Independent Returning Officer. The 2024 Trustee Elections will be carried out by postal and internet voting. Voting packs will be mailed to registered adult members on Wednesday 16 October 2024. Registrations for this election will be accepted up to the close of voting.


This is an opportunity for whānau to help shape the future for Ngāti Rangitihi, and have a voice on our Trust Board. We encourage you to take part in this important process.

 

Email pānui are also being sent to you by Electionz.com, if you have your email address registered with Te Mana. This is not spam – these emails will contain important information on how to nominate someone. Please check your junk mail if you haven’t received any emails from Electionz.com in your usual inbox. If you are 18 years and over and have an email address registered with Te Mana, you should be receiving these emails.  


'Meet the candidates' hui:


When: 5pm, Friday 18 October

Where: Rangitihi Marae, Matatā


We encourage you to come along to this hui to meet the candidates standing in these Trustee Elections and ask questions. The hui will also be live-streamed on our Facebook page. Attendees and viewers will have the opportunity to ask questions to the nominees, and all Q&A will be published on our Facebook page the following week. 


Make sure you're registered:


If you or your whānau are 18 years and over and whakapapa to Ngāti Rangitihi, but are not yet registered with us, we encourage you to do so now.
