Expressions of Interest: Trustee for Te Mana o Ngāti Rangitihi Charitable Trust

Te Mana o Ngāti Rangitihi Charitable Trust is seeking a dedicated and culturally grounded leader to fill a vacancy on our Charitable Trust Board of Trustees.

Established in 2009, Te Mana o Ngāti Rangitihi Charitable Trust receives and administers settlement assets and other funding. Its core purpose is to manage these assets for charitable objectives that directly benefit our registered Iwi members.

As we look to the future, we need a proactive Trustee to help guide our strategy and support the long-term aspirations of our Iwi.

Position details

• Vacancies: one position available.

• Term: a minimum commitment of two years.

• Remuneration: Trustees are entitled to formal remuneration for their time and expertise.

• Location and hui: attendance at monthly hui is required. Options are available to join in person or via Zoom.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic governance capability and a deep connection to our people.

We're looking for individuals who have:

• Māori governance expertise: Proven experience navigating governance frameworks within a Te Ao Māori context.

• Iwi knowledge: A strong understanding and knowledge of Ngāti Rangitihi history.

• Kaupapa engagement: Active involvement in, and a clear commitment to, Ngāti Rangitihi kaupapa.

• Digital literacy: Proficiency and computer literacy to manage digital documentation and online collaboration platforms.
