Te Arawa Lakes Trust Trustee Elections: Ngāti Rangitihi support for Kereama Wright

Kia ora whānau - posting here regarding an important kaupapa.

We strongly encourage you to support Kereama Wright who is standing as a nominated candidate in the Trustee Elections for Te Arawa Lakes Trust.

Although Ngāti Rangitihi has mana whenua over four lakes, we haven’t had representation on Te Arawa Lakes Trust for more than a decade! So, it’s great to see a member of our Iwi stand up and put his name forward for this important kaupapa.

To be eligible to vote, you need to be registered with Te Arawa Lakes Trust. Voting will be held in November 2024 and nine Trustees will be selected – three from each of these Tūpuna Rohe: Te Kawatapuārangi, Te Ure o Uenukukōpako, and Tūhourangi Rohe. Kereama is standing as a candidate in the Tūhourangi Rohe.

If you haven't registered yet, you have up until Thursday 28 November 2024 to register in order to vote in the Te Arawa Lakes Trust Trustee Elections. In this case, you will be sent special voting documents which require you to give more details and sign a declaration.
