August 2024 - key updates

Read on to find out more about some key updates from the Trust, including navigating our new website, and the upcoming Trustee elections.


New Te Mana website


We’re thrilled to have launched our new website in August. The new website is more reflective of our Trust today, and also celebrates our journey to get to this point, including our settlement journey over the years.


You'll be able to:

  • Read all our latest pānui

  • Register for upcoming wānanga

  • Register to become a member 

  • Apply for grants from our Charitable Trust

  • Read about our history, who we are, what we do, access cultural resources and documents, including our Annual Reports, and more!


Trustee Elections coming up


Elections for Te Mana Trustees are coming up. Nomination forms will be sent out soon, with nominations opening on 22 August. Voting for nominated candidates will open on 16 October.


If you are 18 years and over, and a registered member of Te Mana o Ngāti Rangitihi Trust, you are eligible to vote, and we encourage you to do so.


Are your contact details up to date?


It’s important that we have your correct contact details including email and postal address so that you receive your voting forms, and all the latest correspondence from the Trust.

Team update - new cultural monitors


We're pleased to welcome Simon Costar and Destiny Wharewera-Mason to our tari, as our new Cultural Monitors responsible for monitoring and promoting our taonga, our natural resources. Nau mai, haere mai. We're looking forward to working with Simon and Destiny as they take on their new roles.

Te Reo Māori classes

A reminder that our te reo Māori classes are still being held in Matatā on Wednesdays. Everyone is welcome – check out the event page on our website here for more details and to register. Or pop in to our office for a chat.
