For three days over Easter Weekend 2011, Ngāti Rangitihi whānau competed in the Te Arawa Games across a huge range of sporting activities including waka ama, squash,  touch rugby, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, netball, golf, Ki-o-Rahi, hunting and a multi-relay. 

Thanks to the dedication, participation and hard work of all the volunteers, organisers, supporters and players, Ngāti Rangitihi were crowned the 2011 champions of the Te Arawa Games.
