A tailored program for our Kaumātua / Pakeke in Matatā is being developed by Te Mana o Ngāti Rangitihi Trust.

The first stage of planning, a Social Services Mapping and Awareness Raising program for Matatā, is now complete. The purpose of this program is:

Ø  To identify all social services available to Matatā residents via all major service delivery agencies

Ø  To determine those services are currently being accessed by Matatā residents to which they have a right

Ø  To determine service gaps both in the case of unavailable services, and those simply not being accessed

Ø  To implement web and community based servicing to highlight services available and to provide concrete support for accessing

The program will be rolled out in Matatā over the next six months.
